Mike Almeyda — Co-Founder & President
Mike Almeyda is a trusted leader in the critical infrastructure and energy sector, with over a decade of experience at the intersection of security, compliance, and operational resilience.
A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a background in computer science, Mike completed graduate-level study at NYU, combining technical precision with strategic leadership. He began his career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army — an experience that shaped his approach to mission-critical problem solving.
Before co-founding GGS, Mike served as a Senior Account Manager at Force 5, where he advised utility clients on NERC CIP compliance, visitor management, and enterprise risk mitigation. His work helped utilities nationwide build scalable compliance programs that are both audit-ready and operationally aligned.
Mike specializes in NERC CIP, the physical and cybersecurity interface, and organizational readiness for the evolving threat landscape facing the bulk electric system. He is widely recognized for his ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, operational strategies that actually get funded.
Marc Gibson — Co-Founder & CEO
Marc Gibson is an accomplished strategic advisor and the Co-Founder and CEO of Grid Guard Solutions. With 25 years of risk management practice spanning operations, IT, and business advisory, Marc brings a perspective on risk that is both theoretical and deeply practical.
He spent the first decade of his career as an operational leader, the second as an IT professional, and the last as a business owner and advisor — giving him a uniquely complete view of how enterprises actually make risk decisions. For the past six years, Marc has led DThree Technologies, an IT consulting firm that helps businesses maximize productivity and security through intelligent technology use.
At GGS, Marc focuses on helping business leaders gain clarity about their risk — connecting security and compliance realities to business scenarios, outcomes, and priorities. His counsel enables RSSC leaders to have fundamentally different conversations with the executives who control their budgets.
Marc is a featured speaker at GridSecCon, where he champions a more individualized, business-integrated view of risk management for utility professionals.
